Financial Aid Business Process Improvement

BA, MBA; CPA

Ed Wagner, Financial Aid Business Process ImprovementEd brings over 16 years of experience in centralizing and managing large scale financial aid operations to the Edamerica Consulting Division. He has had to work collaboratively with large, multi-campus education systems as both a third-party outsourcer and later as a Vice President of Financial Aid. These centralization efforts resulted in increased operational efficiencies, cost reductions, improved compliance and better service to students.

His career in financial aid began as a consultant with Arthur Andersen. His flagship project was the redesign and centralization of financial aid workflow for the University of Phoenix. As the senior manager on the project, he focused on centralizing all financial aid functions from locations across the country into one single consolidated operation. As part of an ongoing contract, he continued to manage the financial aid operations and also launched an inbound call center along with an outbound call center which focused on financial aid document collection. Ed has repeated his success by centralizing financial aid functions for a large system which operated 4 different software systems with 110 separate campus locations.

Ed has served as the president and treasurer for the Arizona Association of Financial Aid Administrators (AASFAA) and as an Executive Council member for the Western Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators.
